Willis Turner
Senior Copywriter
Mark Twain once said that the difference between the almost right word, and the right word is the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.
In nearly 25 years of writing copy and directing the creative process, Willis has used that philosophy to find the right words for hundreds of successful marketing and advertising programs that deliver measurable, accountable results.
Before joining Huntsinger & Jeffer, Willis was Creative Director for McBratneySisson Advertising and Design, where he developed extensive experience in direct response, print, broadcast, video, outdoor and Internet advertising.
As a copywriter at H&J, he creates direct response campaigns, collateral and communications pieces that get attention and persuade people to buy, to make a donation or to take action.
Willis has served as Communications Chair on the Board of Directors of the Direct Marketing Association of Washington-Central Virginia Chapter, and as the editor of e-vents, that organization’s e-newsletter. He also frequently serves as a judge of the DMAW’s annual Maxi Awards..
